The essentials first

This is a purely informational site. It sets no cookies, uses no analytics or advertising services, embeds no third-party content and loads no fonts from external servers. There are no forms, accounts or newsletters. Personal data is processed only to the extent that is technically unavoidable when any website is accessed.

Hosting and server logs

The site is hosted by IONOS SE, Elgendorfer Straße 57, 56410 Montabaur, Germany. When a page is accessed, your browser automatically sends data to the server, which is stored in log files:

  • IP address of the requesting device
  • date and time of the request
  • page requested and amount of data transferred
  • website from which the request came (referrer), if sent by the browser
  • browser type and operating system

This data serves the secure and stable operation of the site, for example to fend off attacks and analyse errors. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest). The logs are not combined with other data and are deleted automatically by IONOS after a short time. A data processing agreement under Art. 28 GDPR is in place with IONOS. Information on data protection at IONOS: https://www.ionos.de/terms-gtc/datenschutzerklaerung/

Encryption

Transmission between your browser and the server is encrypted via HTTPS. Requests over unencrypted HTTP are redirected to HTTPS automatically.

Local settings in your browser

The site remembers the chosen appearance (light or dark colour scheme) in your browser’s local storage. This setting stays on your device and is not transmitted to the server.

Contact by e-mail

If you send me an e-mail, I process your details solely to answer your enquiry. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR, or Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR for contractual enquiries. The data is deleted once it is no longer needed to handle the enquiry and no statutory retention obligations apply.

Your rights

You have the right to obtain information about the personal data I hold about you (Art. 15 GDPR), to rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and to object to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21 GDPR). To exercise these rights, contact the e-mail address above.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. The competent authority is the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information of North Rhine-Westphalia, Kavalleriestraße 2–4, 40213 Düsseldorf, Germany, https://www.ldi.nrw.de/

Changes

This policy will be updated if the site or the legal situation changes. The date of the last change is shown at the end of the page.
